 We can't wait to see you! Here's everything you need to know about getting to the 2027 Porter Family Reunion at Smuggler's Notch Resort in Vermont. Let's make your travel as smooth as possible for this long-awaited family gathering.

Flying to Vermont

For those flying in, Vermont is accessible via several airports. The closest international airport is Burlington International Airport (BTV), located about an hour's drive from Smuggler's Notch. This airport offers connections to major hubs across the United States. Alternatively, you might consider flying into larger international airports like Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) or Albany International Airport (ALB), and then renting a car for the scenic drive to the resort.  Canada is also an option, flying into Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) which is about 85 miles north of the Smuggler's Notch.

Driving directions to the resort

Smuggler's Notch Resort is nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. For those driving, here are some general directions from major cities:

  • From New York City: Take I-87 North to I-787 North, then US-7 North to US-2 East, and VT-100 North to the resort. The drive is approximately 6-7 hours.
  • From Boston: Take I-93 North to I-89 North, then VT-100 North to Smuggler's Notch. This route typically takes about 4-5 hours.
  • From Washington D.C.: Head North on I-95, then I-87 North to I-787 North, US-7 North to US-2 East, and VT-100 North to the resort. This journey is roughly 9-10 hours.

Arrival and check-in information

The reunion officially kicks off on Thursday, July 29th, 2027. We kindly request that all family members try to arrive at Smuggler's Notch Resort before 5:00 PM on this day. Upon arrival, please proceed to the main desk for check-in. After completing your resort check-in, please make your way to the lobby of Norland Hall to meet with the Reunion Team. They will provide you with your welcome packet and any last-minute details. Parking is available near Norland for all guests.
